In January 2023 the Town of Washington was awarded by the DEC assistance to update our Natural Resources Inventory which was completed January 2024.

A Natural Resource Inventory (NRI) is a living document cataloging past and present resources and is a work in progress for current and future observation to assist our boards and residents better understand their natural environment and how to balance with our man-made environment through better planning.
