Part-time help wanted. The Town of Washington seeks a part-time Assessor’s Aide/Data Collector (15 hours per week) to work with the Town Assessor. Candidate should have graduated from high school and have experience working in an office environment, with demonstrated experience in office software and database efficiencies. Experience in an occupation involving the valuation of real property is preferred.

NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF TAX ROLL AND TAX WARRANT 2021
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE THAT I, MARY ALEX, Tax Collector of the Town of Washington, Dutchess County, New York, have received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Washington for the Year 2021.
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT checks may be made payable to Mary Alex, Tax Collector, and sent to P O Box 667, Millbrook, NY 12545. Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, it is encouraged that payments are sent through the USPS or paid on the tax portal available through the town website: www.washingtonny.org
PLEASE TAKE FURTHER NOTICE THAT due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, in person payment availability may change without notice. Payments may be made in person at the Town Hall, 10 Reservoir Drive, Millbrook, NY 12545, Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM, excluding weekends and holidays. The Town Clerk’s Office will be closed on January 18, February 15 and May 31. Payments may be left in the mail receptacle on the front of the Town Hall.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that taxes may be paid on or before March 1, 2021 without penalty. On all such taxes remaining unpaid, beginning on March 2nd, a penalty will be added as follows: March 2 – March 31: 2 %, April 1 – April 30: 3 % and May 1 – June 1: 4%. Beginning on May 1, an additional fee of $2.00 will be assessed to any unpaid properties. Beginning on June 2, 2021, the unpaid taxes will be turned over to the Dutchess County Commissioner of Finance, 22 Market St., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
