The Town of Washington has received reports from residents regarding suspicious emails claiming to be from the Town requesting payment for “Second Notice Tax Bills.”

Please be advised:
❌ The Town of Washington will NEVER email or call requesting payment through money wiring or online payment services.
✔️ Accepted forms of payment include cash, check, credit card, and money orders.

We do NOT accept or request payment through:
• Venmo
• Zelle
• Cash App
• Money Wiring
• Bank Transfers

If you receive a suspicious email or phone call claiming to be from the Town, do not respond or send payment. Please contact Town Hall directly to verify any communication.
