Please know, the T.O.W will never ask for wire transfer as a form of payment. If you receive one of these emails, please let the Town Clerk’s Office know.
We have been made aware of fraudulent invoices and payment requests circulating in our area. Please be advised that the Town of Washington will never request payment by wire transfer, prepaid cards, or cryptocurrency. If you receive a suspicious invoice or payment demand claiming to be from us, do not respond and report it immediately to the Town Clerk’s office.
