The CPRC has requested that the Town Board accept the proposals from the following two firms to assist them through the review process:

Planner: Proposal by Community Planner and Environmental Associates

Attorney: Proposal by McCullough, Goldberger & Staudt

On Thursday, August 26, an Open Forum meeting was held at 7:00PM in the Town of Washington Town Hall and on Zoom. The meeting lasted approximately 90 minutes. The rules were posted on the screen requesting people who desired to speak should register by name and address. Each speaker was limited to 3 minutes.
Attending in person were approximately 19 people and 7 people spoke.
Attending on line were approximately 75 people and 14 people spoke.
Additionally the Comprehensive Plan Review Committee wishes to thank John Dyson for the $10,000 donation to support the professional fees to guide the Committee in its work. PRPs were sent mid August requesting professional  proposals and the Committee is waiting for replies
The Committee invites the public to attend the next Open Forum on Wednesday, Sept 15, at the Town Hall or by Zoom at 7:00PM Registration will be open at 6:45PM  for those who wish to speak.

The CP Committee set dates for two future meetings: Thursday, Aug 26, and Thursday, Sept 15 to be held at Town Hall.  Details will be announced.
Thanks were given to the Trustees of the Tribute Garden for providing $50,000 to the Town of Washington to be used by the CP Committee to hire consultants to assist and guide the Committee in its work.  The selection of the consultants will be the responsibility of the CP Committee.  Additionally, the need for IT support was reviewed and assigned.  The methodology to obtain the consultants was discussed and the first step will be to send out an RFP to a list of professionals that has been proposed by members of the CP Committee. This will be done promptly.
The need to obtain contacts/email addresses of residents of the TOW was discussed. There is no list currently.

The concept of hosting one or two 'listening meetings", open to the community was discussed and agreed upon.  Details and location to be confirmed.
