NOTICE OF RECEIPT OF TAX ROLL AND TAX WARRANT
TAKE NOTICE THAT I, MARY ALEX, Tax Collector of the Town of Washington, Dutchess County, New York, have received the tax roll and warrant for the collection of taxes within the Town of Washington for the Year 2023. Collection of Taxes begins January 1, 2023. Checks may be made payable to Mary Alex, Tax Collector, P O Box 667, Millbrook, NY 12545. Payments may be made in person at the Town Hall, 10 Reservoir Drive, Millbrook, NY 12545, Monday – Friday from 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM and 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM, excluding weekends and holidays.
TAKE FURTHER NOTICE that taxes may be paid on or before February 28, 2023 without penalty. On all such taxes remaining unpaid, beginning on March 1st, a penalty will be added as follows: March 1 – March 31: 2 %, April 1 – May 1: 3 % and May 2 - May 31: 4%. Beginning May 2, an additional fee of $2.00 will be assessed to any unpaid properties. Beginning on June 1, 2022, the unpaid taxes will be turned over to the Dutchess County Commissioner of Finance, 22 Market St., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
